Vision

For 15 years, the Bar X Project has accomplished what no government program can: reconnecting combat veterans with those who understand them best and renewing their sense of purpose by giving back to their communities as trauma mentors. Our retreats feature the Post Traumatic Winning (PTW) Seminar, peer support, and the calming experience of fly fishing.

Goals

1. 1.In 2024, The Bar X Project made the critical shift from a founder-led model to a structured growth plan built on the Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS). We mapped every element needed to scale — from staffing and scheduling to donor tracking and veteran support.
2. 2.In February 2026 The Harnish Foundation agreed to fund a Program Manager for three years. This will be our first paid employee. For 15 years, The Bar X Project rotated the responsibility for planning and supervising each retreat among the Board of Directors. In 2026, this responsibility will shift to the Program Manager.
3. 3.The introduction of the Post Traumatic Winning (PTW) seminar and providing every participant with a copy of From Trauma to Joy has significantly enhanced our measurable outputs. We intend to continue to use this seminar and to include the number of people our participants have helped with the tools taught during the PTW course.
