Vision

For the first time in history, thanks to artificial intelligence and sophisticated biomedical measurements at the molecular level, we have a chance to unlock the secrets of the human immune system, creating the first functional models of the human immunome. Our vision is to decode the human immunome in order to transform disease diagnosis, treatment, and prevention, extending and enhancing healthy human lifespan.

Goals

1. 1.Catalyze the creation of first AI models of the human immune system by creating the largest immunological dataset of diverse populations around the world. This will ultimately lead to an understanding of the causes and underlying mechanisms of immune function: the critical next step to unlocking the future of human health and the foundation for true preventive medicine.
2. 2.Standing on the shoulders of the Human Genome Project before us, we now work at the convergence of biology and AI to transform human health, with diversity at the core of our science and equity at the heart of our mission. Our Scientific Partner Network on 5 continents–already the largest collaboration in systems immunology in history–aims to reduce global health inequity.
3. 3.Our open-science approach and focus on including diverse populations will create advanced biomedical and computing skills and economic opportunities in low- and middle-income countries.
