Vision

Belos Cavalos is a place where people gather together, experience relationships with animals, with nature, with others, and with themselves in order to learn, grow, and heal. Our equine partners act as mirrors of our emotions, reflecting our behaviors, attitudes, and ideas. Horses are in the moment, and they cannot lie. Thus, they recognize and reflect the incongruence between our behavior and emotion, without judgment, revealing our truths. Because horses are herd animals, living in groups much like humans, they provide valuable insight into group dynamics as well as each individuals roles within teams. In addition to our equine assisted trauma recovery programs, we provide health, wellness, and personal development experiences, as well as group leadership and team building workshops of businesses, other non-profit organizations, and families.

Goals

1. 1.Recently, we have endured two deadly wildfires. Fire victims joined us for healing and recovery experiences. We provided trauma programs for firefighters and first responders. Likewise, our programs continued throughout COVID shutdown. For children, Belos Cavalos was the only opportunity to venture out of the Valley of the Moon children's facility. We address needs as they emerged. Responsiveness.
2. 2.The time for our programs is now. Trauma is significant in our society. The truth is, we all experience trauma. We have proven methods of trauma recovery that work. We have something to offer all in our community. We often host community events, welcoming everyone. Belos Cavalos programs and events are so much fun! People never forget the experiences they have at Belos Cavalos.
3. 3.Imagine surviving trauma too painful for words. How do you process it? For those who have survived the "unspeakable", recovery begins from within. We provide that safe space. Further, we provide health, wellness, personal development, leadership, and team building experiences for businesses, organizations, and families, thus bringing communities together.
