Our Mission is to improve the health and quality of life of Louisville’s current and future generations through a robust, equitable and diverse community tree canopy.

Vision

Our Vision is to create a greener, healthier, and more equitable Louisville where every community thrives under the shade of a flourishing urban canopy.

Goals

1.Develop and launch an Arboriculture Internship Program by FY26 with ranked levels and returning participants. Expand school-based tree curriculum aligned with state standards. Partner with nature-based orgs for education. Grow outreach via Tree Week, TreeFest, speaker series, and community events.
2.Advocate for stronger tree protections and sustainable practices by supporting ordinance revisions, incentive programs, and city-wide pruning efforts. Push for adoption of the Louisville Tree Plan, better tree care standards, and green infrastructure incentives to ensure a healthier urban canopy.
