    Investment in Leadership Development
    15 out of 15 points
The nonprofit provides evidence of investment in leadership development.
GWI leadership promotes and trains from within the organization -- from the top down. Each person on the team has a voice and is given tools with which to accomplish their jobs and goals. An example is the Geography of Wellness initiative which involves the entire organization. The GWI Research Fellows produced the research, the production team created the assets and social media posts, the media team produced the press releases and press, and the development director sold the partnerships to interested countries. The CEO brought in new leads, touted the program on LinkedIn and participated in high-level calls with interested parties. As a result, the director of development has the tools needed to sell the initiative -- and all work is done internally and effectively. The GWI team is shockingly talented for a small but nimble organization. An advisory board member recently commented that "GWI does more with less" than any organization he knows.

    Adaptability Practices
    30 out of 30 points
The nonprofit has an opportunity to tell the story of how the organization adapted to tremendous external changes in the last year
The COVID years have been challenging, but GWI has raised the bar by creating new programs and initiatives to help bridge the financial gap. These programs have proved to be successful. There are many more things we could do with the appropriate staff and funding for that staff. GWI's leadership is never without a plan and thrives on bringing new and exciting content and research to a global market.
