Talented Girls in Action

Mission

Talented Girls in Action empowers girls to be agents of change by providing STEM, mentorships and career readiness development opportunities in underprivileged communities.

Vision

By implementing our after-school program in low income areas, which incorporates mentorships, tutoring and a comprehensive curriculum, we will improve academic performance amongst the female students within the program. While cultivating intrinsic values of integrity and self-discipline, we will motivate our students to pursue a higher education be it college or vocational training.

Goals

1.Our goal is to also integrate our program into one K-8 grade school, Thomasboro Academy while actively seeking another location potentially at Renaissance West.
2.TGIA’s fundraising goal for the next five years is to raise $150,000. This money will be allocated to building funds for the TGIA STEAM center as well as overarching academic needs of each girl.
3.TGIA’s goal for the next two years is to develop a comprehensive curriculum that fosters the drive to succeed and empowers young women to act on their beliefs while nurturing their self-confidence.
