Mission

Frontera Fund is dedicated to advancing reproductive justice values and access to reproductive health in the Rio Grande Valley and border communities in Texas by providing comprehensive direct services, including abortion funding and practical support, alongside community advocacy efforts. We are committed to serving all individuals regardless of gender identity, ability, sexual orientation, race, class, immigration status, age, or religious affiliation, ensuring equitable access and challenging societal stigmas and barriers.

Vision

We envision a culture in the Rio Grande Valley that supports people of all faiths and political leanings to make reproductive decisions without shame or stigma. We see a Rio Grande Valley that has overcome the trauma of a militarized border and has gained reproductive liberation.

Goals

1.Enhance our existing Caller Navigation Program and extend our reach through a Caller Engagement Follow-Up Program to ensure clients’ reproductive healthcare needs are being met and addressed.
2.Addressing the stigma and shame associated with abortion and promoting the affirmative value of abortion in Texan’s lives through community outreach and education events. This includes implementing our new Street Team Initiative, which utilizes grassroots organizers to further engage and support communities in the Rio Grande Valley.
3.Frontera Fund is working with partner organizations to advocate for reproductive justice and influence policy developments during the 2025 Texas legislative session.
