Vision

BRR's long-term vision is for all these orphan rhinos to have a future in the wild, where they can breed in safety. Building safe strongholds in native bush is the solution to their future. Working together, Baby Rhino Rescue is taking steps to ensure the next generation of rhinos in the wild. To turn this vision into reality and advance the mission, the organization provides targeted financial support to on-the-ground partners (primarily in South Africa and Kenya) for: Rescue, specialized care, rehabilitation (often a 2-year process), and eventual release of poaching-orphaned rhino calves into protected strongholds. Anti-poaching security systems, intelligence operatives, and ranger support for strong hold reserves. Habitat conservation, rewilding, and creation/expansion of large protected areas with genetically diverse rhino populations.

Goals

1. 1.We advance our advocacy work by investing in community education, women’s empowerment programs, and sustainable livelihood initiatives that build local stewardship and long-term support for rhino conservation.
2. 2.Due to increasing number of poaching-orphaned calves and limitations in existing sanctuary facilities for larger or injured rhinos, we launched new programs including construction of three additional pens at rhino sanctuaries. We initiated new rewilding partnerships with strong hold reserves, funding transport, AI collars, and enhanced security.
3. 3.Focus will be habitat conservation, rewilding, and expansion. Community projects (e.g., women’s empowerment initiatives) that build local stewardship and sustainable coexistence with wildlife. This collaborative, donor-driven model focuses resources directly on high-impact frontline work without the organization operating its own facilities, allowing it to scale protection efforts efficiently
