For the Love of Paws
Mission
For the Love of Paws exists to expand access to compassionate, affordable veterinary care while strengthening the bond between pets, their families, and our community. We provide urgent, wellness, and surgical services through a transparent, nonprofit model that prioritizes staff sustainability, leadership development, and fiscal responsibility. Guided by our commitment to compliance, equity, and community impact, we reinvest resources into staff compensation, continuing education, equipment, reserves, and client assistance programs like Helping Hands. We also work to reduce the unwanted pet population by offering discounted spay and neuter services, ensuring healthier outcomes for animals and fewer pets entering shelters. Our mission is to guarantee that every pet—regardless of circumstance—has access to quality care, while building a resilient organization that supports our team, honors our donors, and serves Roseburg and beyond with integrity and heart.
Vision
We envision a community where every pet has access to compassionate, affordable veterinary care, and where no animal suffers or enters a shelter due to preventable illness or lack of resources. By expanding urgent, wellness, surgical, and spay/neuter services, we aspire to reduce the unwanted pet population, strengthen the human–animal bond, and set a new standard for nonprofit veterinary care. Our vision is to build a sustainable, resilient organization that empowers staff, invests in innovation, and becomes a trusted model of transparency and equity—ensuring healthier pets, stronger families, and a thriving community for generations to come.
Goals
- 1.For the Love of Paws will expand urgent, wellness, surgical, and discounted spay/neuter services to increase access, reduce the unwanted pet population, and strengthen the human–animal bond. We will grow capacity, enhance community programs, and build organizational sustainability to serve more pets and families.
- 2.Organizational Capacity Investment For the Love of Paws will invest in organizational capacity by moving into a larger commercial space that provides staff and clients more room for care and services. This expansion will enhance efficiency, improve patient flow, support advanced equipment, and create a sustainable foundation for future growth
- 3.Our goal is to develop new programs that meet changing community needs by expanding access to preventive care. Many pets lack regular wellness checkups, leading to avoidable emergencies like diabetes and kidney failure. We will raise funding to provide these services, improving long‑term health outcomes and reducing urgent care visits for pets in need
