    Adaptability Practices
    30 out of 30 points
The nonprofit has an opportunity to tell the story of how the organization adapted to tremendous external changes in the last year
The COVID-19 pandemic was one of the most challenging times for the organization, testing our adaptability and resilience during crises. The safety of our team and volunteers it of upmost importance. At the onset of the pandemic, we immediately halted our local and international field outreach for the safety of all. We continued to effectively communicate regularly to our resource team, volunteers, donors, and partners on how we were managing the COVID crises, the impact on our programs, the financial implications, and further updates of the way forward. U-VOL’s Leadership and Resource Team evaluated several potential scenarios to manage the impact to revenue and acted to protect the long-term viability of the organization. We devised a plan to safely return to field work in 2021, extensively educating our team, increasing PPE stock, and updated our volunteer orientations, trainings and information packets before our successful return to the field.
