CEDARS, with its 75 years of experience and dedication to excellence in Nebraska, partners with local, state, and national organizations to steer best practices and to provide thought leadership in the areas they know best- being here for kids and families who need us most.

The nonprofit has an opportunity to tell the story of how the organization adapted to tremendous external changes in the last year.
A study in the fall of 2022 indicated that at any given time there were 350 youth experiencing homelessness in Lincoln, NE. Of that 350, approximately 100 were also pregnant or parenting their own young children. Seeing the need that no one else was filling, CEDARS began a pilot program to fill the gap for those young mothers. Spurred on my the success of the pilot program, CEDARS is now committed to building a 7,000 square foot facility on its main campus to provide a space of security, stability, and training for pregnant or parenting teens with an innovative approach unlike any in Nebraska. We anticipate the opening of Carriage House in the summer of 2024.
