Mission

United Way of Delaware unites people, ideas and resources to improve lives and build a stronger community. Together with our partners, UWDE is answering the call to help our community thrive. We are working to ensure kids can read on grade level by third grade, support career and college success for youth, connect families to vital resources through Delaware 211, and empower individuals with the tools they need to achieve financial stability. Since 1946, UWDE has connected individuals, organizations, and communities through advocacy, volunteerism and investments to create lasting change. With a mission to unite people, ideas, and resources to improve lives and to build a stronger community, UWDE strives to help children and families realize their full potential regardless of zip code. UWDE is a community leader, convener, and community stakeholder serving to advance the human condition in Delaware and Salem County (NJ).

2.Strengthen organizational capacity by leveraging technology and AI to expand access to programs and enhance engagement. We will refine messaging, strengthen our digital presence, and integrate partners into collective storytelling to build brand loyalty. Success will be measured by a 10% increase in Net Promoter Score and improved personalized experiences for investors, partners, and volunteers.
3.Expand access to financial empowerment services through the Stand By Me 1:1 coaching model and workshops, helping Delawareans build budgeting, credit, debt reduction, and savings skills. We aim to serve 7,000+ clients annually, increase mortgage-ready clients to 15%, and help 28% achieve at least one savings goal.
