The nonprofit organization presents evidence of strategic thinking and goal setting through sharing their most important strategic goals.
Goal One: We intend to apply an EDI lens to everything we do. As such, we want to formalize plans for all of our organization's departments to incorporate EDI work; increase diverse representation across programming, artists, staff, vendors, and audiences; and ensure that our full-time staff demographics represent and are reflective of the wider community.
Goal Two: We are considering the physical space needs of our programming and people. Our aim is to procure, design, and build a space in downtown Des Moines for education, engagement, and outreach programs. We hope to invest $10 million in infrastructure updates and upgrades in our existing venues.
Goal Three: We aspire to diversify, evolve, and maintain our programmatic excellence by developing a framework for growth and scope analysis of all our programming areas, operationalizing three different vibrant access-based initiatives, and establishing long-term relationships with artists across the community.
