Vision

We envision generations of Latino families choosing where to call home, thriving economically, succeeding in learning opportunities, and leading policy and social change toward a more equitable society.

Goals

1. 1.Families are Financially Thriving: Because our clients have many different financial service needs, MEDA has a multidimensional approach, supporting community members along various financial pathways while simultaneously soliciting neighborhood capital investment and engaging local policymakers.
2. 2.The Mission District is a strong and supporting community for Latino residents, businesses, and institutions: MEDA's diversity of strategies reflects our place-based approach in the Mission, where we combine on-the-ground efforts to serve and mobilize individuals and families with broader initiatives in policy advocacy, coalition-building and community development.
3. 3.San Francisco Mission District families have affordable and stable housing: The scope of the affordable housing crisis in the Bay Area demands a multidimensional response. As such, MEDA's approach to community ownership through affordable housing spans various strategies, and involves all six program areas.
