STEP responds to our neighbors in need by providing access to vital services that foster stability. Since 1975, STEP has aspired to be a pillar of our community by connecting residents with resources to meet their basic needs. Services include: - Food Assistance: Choice-based food shelf providing fresh produce, dairy, proteins, pantry staples, kosher and halal foods, and other essential groceries. - Housing Stabilization: Emergency rental and utility assistance to help households experiencing financial crises remain safely housed. - Professional Social Services: Licensed social workers and caseworkers provide individualized support, advocacy, case management, referrals, and connections to community resources. - Transportation Assistance: Rides to medical and social service appointments, along with gas cards and bus passes for eligible residents. - Clothes Closet: Free clothing shop for individuals and families. - Infant & Family Essentials: Diapers, wipes, formula, baby food, and other essential supplies for families with young children. - Seasonal Programs: School supplies and backpacks, winter coats, and holiday gifts for children.
