Vision

Our goal is to eliminate poverty. It is a hopeful goal but a goal none the less. Until that day arrives, we will strive to do our best to serve to make sure that the poor our not treated poorly. We will do our utmost to meet the needs of the poor in a variety of ways from homeless shelters, affordable housing, childcare centers, counseling, dental care, job placement, individuals living with HIV and more.

Goals

1. 1.Continue to pursue needed programs based upon the needs of the citizens of the City of Wilmington. For example, there is a deep need for affordable senior housing in the City of Wilmington. Ministry of Caring is scheduled to go to the settlement table with the Department of Housing and Urban Development for a new $29 million 70+ facility of 70+ units of affordable senior citizen housing.
2. 2.We constantly strive to bring long-term financial stability into practice as we conduct nineteen different programs across thirty sites in Wilmington, DE. That financial stability is pursued via donations, fundraising, government contracts and investments all intended to support operations to assist the homeless and poor towards independence.
