The Maryland Science Center is the region’s premier private, non-profit institution for informal science learning. For 50 years, the Maryland Science Center has provided valuable educational experiences at our location in Baltimore City and through outreach programming across the mid-Atlantic region. Serving over 400,000 individuals a year, we are an interactive science museum with a mission to inspire, empower, and engage through informal STEM education. We want to make science accessible, fun, and memorable for everyone – children, families, science enthusiasts, and educators – through our human-powered exhibits and programs. Thanks to our donor’s support we’re able to provide free field trip admission to over 93,000 Maryland students, teachers, and chaperones each year. The impact of the Maryland Science Center reaches far beyond our Inner Harbor walls, reaching every corner of Maryland and beyond. No other institution in the State reaches more teachers and students through its outreach programs and on-site visits dedicated exclusively to science and technology education.
