Mission

Founded in 1976, the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation (CBCF) works to advance the global black community by developing leaders, informing policy, and educating the public. CBCF facilitates the exchange of ideas and information to address critical issues affecting our communities. It also provides leadership development and scholarship opportunities to educate the next generation of leaders, promotes public health and financial empowerment for all communities through innovative programs, and develops strategic research and historical resources for the public, academics, educators and students.

We envision a world in which all communities have an equal voice in public policy through leadership cultivation, economic empowerment, and civic engagement.

Goals

1.CBCF seeks to expand its programs annually by increasing its national footprint. The goal is to provide opportunities to talented & deserving Black scholars while removing barriers to higher education. CBCF achieves this with direct engagement with colleges & universities nationwide.
2.In an effort to achieve goal one, it is imperative that CBCF increase the capacity of the internal organization. This will include increased staff capacity to handle the results of the increased recruitment efforts. Additionally, with the hopes of increased financial support, CBCF will need additional support for program, financial, and technical management.
