Mission

Founded in 1979, the Hearing Loss Association of America (HLAA) is the nation's leading organization representing people with hearing loss. The mission of HLAA is to open the world of communication to people with hearing loss by providing information, education, support and advocacy. <br><br>HLAA provides assistance and resources for people with hearing loss and their families to learn how to adjust to living with hearing loss. HLAA is working to eradicate the stigma associated with hearing loss and raise public awareness about the need for prevention and the importance of regular hearing screenings throughout life. <br><br>HLAA works to impact communication access, public policy, research, public awareness, and service delivery related to hearing loss.

3.Develop new content & programming on timely issues. Connect with people in their communities to provide comfort & encouragement. Expand our advocacy network and take action for access and inclusion.
