Mission

Ivymount's mission is to offer a model creative learning environment where all students can achieve their highest level of development; to support families in their efforts to make well-informed decisions for and with their children; and, to maintain a leadership role in the community and in the broad field of special education so that Ivymount's considerable expertise is widely accessible. Since its inception, Ivymount has consistently focused on meeting the needs of students for whom limited educational and therapeutic options exist. The complexity of their needs requires a program modeled on the integration of therapeutic services, differentiated instruction, and the provision of tools and strategies that prepare students for independent, productive futures of their own choosing.
