Vision

Mary House exists to ensure that people from all backgrounds can live with safety and dignity and are included in the opportunity to reach their full potential.

Goals

1. 1.Set to become Mary House’s largest property and highest impact project in our 43-year history, the new Regina Maria Apartments, set for completion in December 2024, will expand our capacity to provide housing and case-management, support services, and food resources for underserved immigrant and refugee families in the DC area.
2. 2.Intentionally remaining small, operating with very low administrative costs, and engaging many community partners and pro-bono services, we have built a sustainable and holistic model to serve families. Inspired by the Catholic Worker Movement, whose founder, Dorothy Day taught, “We can throw our pebble in the pond and be confident that its ever-widening circle will reach around the world.”
