Mission

My Sister’s Place (MSP) shelters, supports and empowers survivors of domestic violence and their children, while providing leadership and education to build a supportive community. As DC’s oldest domestic violence shelter, MSP has been serving survivors of domestic violence in DC for nearly 45 years. MSP is unique in offering a full continuum of care, including emergency shelter, transitional-to-permanent housing, wrap-around supportive services, and unconditional cash transfer programs. MSP also engages the community through educational trainings and events, and targeted outreach to the Latinx community.
