Goals

1. 1.PAL will build and nurture long-lasting site partnerships while carefully vetting new sites by evaluating physical space, population served, staffing, organizational fit, handler and dog suitability, and visit goals. Once approved, we will work closely with facility staff to design visit structures that meet their goals, mitigate risk, and promote the welfare of both humans and animals.
2. 2.PAL is launching comprehensive, mandatory "PAL Therapy Team Training" to ensure handlers have the knowledge and skills for safe, effective, and ethical AAI visits. We're also strengthening our digital presence and expanding direct relationship-building through orientation sessions, volunteer support, host site collaboration, and community events to grow our network and expand our reach.
3. 3.PAL's lean team leverages a mix of software to streamline volunteer and host site onboarding, visit management, and partner stewardship. Investing in sophisticated volunteer management software will elevate these efforts further—enabling precise tracking of volunteer hours, systematic post-visit surveys, and more rigorous evaluation of our program's impact more efficiently and effectively.
