Mission

The Equal Rights Center (ERC) is a national non-profit civil-rights organization dedicated to promoting equal opportunity in housing, employment, and access to public accommodations and government services through education, research, testing, advocacy, and enforcement. The ERC works with all populations, and has dedicated programs and activities in immigrant rights, disability rights, and lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) rights. Today, the ERC stands as one of the few organizations in the United States that engages in comprehensive civil-rights investigation and advocacy for all protected classes under both federal and local law. The ERC helps thousands of individuals each year through civil rights testing and investigations, advocacy, and education and outreach activities.
