For over 40 years, NFWF has served as a cornerstone of conservation efforts in the United States, growing to become the largest organization of its kind. Our legacy is built on strong partnerships, scientific rigor, and a steadfast commitment to tangible, lasting results. NFWF is now positioned to generate conservation outcomes and benefits at a scale greater than at any time in our history. As we look to the future, we recognize that the challenges facing our nation's fish, wildlife, and habitats are more complex and urgent than ever before. By involving a broader, more diverse set of stakeholders and leveraging advancements in technology and innovation, we will scale up our investments with our partners to ensure healthy and resilient fish and wildlife populations.

Goals

1. 1.NFWF has selected a set of priority landscapes aimed at delivering ambitious but measurable outcomes for species and habitats within each region. We are committed to doubling the total impact of our core conservation strategies over the next five years through increased investment and enhanced conservation planning.
2. 2.NFWF will develop a comprehensive strategy to promote and accelerate the adoption of nature-based solutions to enhance resilience throughout the nation’s vast grasslands and forests and along our coasts. This strategic goal will also include actions NFWF will take to enhance our role as the leading private foundation supporting this important work.
3. 3.Diversify and Grow Our Non-Federal Funding Sources: We are committed to doubling our investment in on-the-ground projects, with a goal of maintaining and increasing our conservation investment at levels between $500 million to $1 billion annually
