American Immigration Council

Mission

We strive to create a society that values immigrants as vital contributors and where everyone is afforded an equal opportunity to thrive socially, economically, and culturally. The Council brings together problem solvers and employs coordinated approaches to advance change—including litigation, research, legislative and administrative advocacy, direct representation, and communications. With this synergy, the Council works to advance positive public attitudes and create a more welcoming America—one that provides a fair process for immigrants and adopts immigration laws and policies that take into account the needs of the U.S. economy.

Support and welcome immigrants by driving meaningful policy change; holding governments accountable for their policies and actions through oversight and litigation; and ensuring a fact-based public conversation, drawing on our deep expertise while connecting communities and other stakeholders to meet the moment.
2.Our work to build the country we want. Build a welcoming nation by promoting narratives of belonging, facilitating inter-group connections, and mobilizing enduring support for inclusive policies by working directly with communities across the country, securing a better future for all.
3.Our work to scale impact. Expand our audience, outreach visibility, and strategic partnerships to ensure systemic impact. Immigration reform requires broad public understanding and cross-sector collaboration to drive lasting change. By scaling our reach and deepening partnerships, we build the infrastructure needed to influence policy and public perception at every level.
