Mission

Housing Unlimited promotes community integration and independence for individuals in mental health recovery in Montgomery County, Maryland. To this end, we provide affordable, scattered-site shared housing—mostly condos and townhomes—in neighborhoods throughout the County that are accessible to public transportation, employment, shopping, and support services.

Vision

All Montgomery County residents in mental health recovery shall have a permanent, affordable, and independent home integrated in the community.

Goals

1.For its FY22-26 strategic plan, the Board of Directors of Housing Unlimited approved a plan to continue acquisition of new homes at an average rate of three to four new scattered-site homes per year.
2.Housing Unlimited will continue to expand the organization's staff in accordance with its key staff ratios in order to maintain the quality of its affordable housing program.
3.Housing Unlimited will continue to expand and diversify its fundraising efforts to ensure the financial sustainability of the organization.
