National Fallen Firefighters Foundation

Mission

The United States Congress created the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation to lead a nationwide effort to remember America's fallen firefighters. Since 1992, the Foundation has developed and expanded programs that fulfill that mandate. Our mission is to honor America's fallen fire heroes; support their families, colleagues, and organizations; and work to reduce preventable firefighter death and injury.

1.Continue to expand efforts to prevent line-of-duty deaths. Increase the availability of line-of-duty death prevention programs by 15% over 2021 levels.
2.Continue to support and strengthen an equitable work environment that provides professional growth and transparency for all employees.
3.Develop and deliver a national campaign to raise awareness of the mission and activities of the NFFF among the members of the fire and emergency services and the public.
