Vision

Imagine a world where safe and amazing places to play exist for every child in America. Where kids are able to joyfully play in their neighborhoods, at schools and everywhere in between. Their zip code no longer dictates or limits their access to the opportunities and resources they need to thrive, including the ability to play as the truest essence of childhood. Caring adults will learn the importance of play as the language of childhood and understand how necessary play is to healthy child development. And our kids will be able to reach their full potential by experiencing the wide range of physical and mental benefits of play, and have the freedom to take risks, build strong relationships, grow, explore, and learn through joyful moments of play. When every kid can grow up experiencing the benefits of play, we will have richer, thriving communities and generations of happy and healthy kids.

Goals

1. 1.We will carry out $4.4M in Innovative Program Grants, build 90 playspaces of which 75% of playspaces will be in prioritized areas, and 85% of new builds having a mechanism in place to track usage.
2. 2.Secure and execute against the $20M target for our funding priorities in diverse revenue sources in 2023.
3. 3.Innovate the perception of KABOOM! externally, as measured by an increase in revenue, digital engagement, and demand for our thought leadership expertise, and tracking against our targets for 2024.
