Vision

The District of Columbia will become the 51st state admitted to the United States, with 2 Senators, 1 Representative, and full voting rights for the 700,000 U.S. residents who live, work, and play here.

Goals

1. 1.Protect and Strengthen D.C. Home Rule: Educate policymakers and inform the debate around the importance of DC right to self-governance and against Congressional meddling and partisan attacks.
2. 2.Secure one Member of Congress for DC: Launch a campaign to educate Americans about DC’s lack of a Representative in Congress how how this denial of full citizenship rights is unconstitutional.
3. 3.DC Statehood: Lay the groundwork for DC Vote’s next steps in advocacy toward bringing full Statehood for the District of Columbia in 2025.
