Mission

The VIVA School of Dance is a haven for naturally gifted students to fearlessly nurture their talents in community with others who see their limitless potential. Located in Washington, DC, the school centers young dancers of color, ages 6-18, in a progressive model of dance education that merges world-class training and leadership development to cultivate the creative leaders of tomorrow. Since opening our doors in 2017, 100% of our young artists have matriculated to four-year universities and have collectively garnered over $2.5 million in scholarship awards toward college, gaining acceptance into the nation's top collegiate dance programs and conservatories. The VIVA School distinguishes itself as a full-scholarship, merit-based program, affirming an enduring investment in talent and a commitment to equity.
