Goals

1. 1.Halting Illegal Deforestation: Strengthen governance across the region, spur greater enforcement, and advance policies to fight illegal deforestation more effectively across the region. By building a unified front of local conservation NGOs, Indigenous groups, and other partners, and with real-time analysis of deforestation drivers, we will drive action on the ground to stop illegal deforestation.
2. 2.Building a Forest-Based Economy: Building on our successes to date in Peru and Bolivia, we will broaden our impact by expanding the geographic reach to Acre, Brazil, strengthening supply chains, replicating best practices, and carrying out focused policy advocacy to enhance the economic viability and environmental resilience of key forest products and climate-smart, forest-based economies.
3. 3.Driving Policy Change: Since threats to the Amazon don’t stop at borders, solutions can’t either. With our scientific expertise, local experience, and growing partnership network, we advocate for national and Amazon-wide policies that prioritize effective, science-based solutions to hold governments accountable to conservation commitments and secure stronger protections for forests and people.
