Mission

Potomac Community Resources, Inc. (PCR) is an inclusive community of people with and without intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) where the intrinsic value and talents of each person are honored and celebrated. PCR promotes the full participation of our 500 members — teens and adults with I/DD — in in community life through our 32 programs and resource-sharing webinars; by providing housing opportunities; by engaging in public policy advocacy; and through community collaborations.

Goals

1.To broaden the reach and impact of our monthly "Transition Times" webinars which provide vital information to PCR members' families on topics including accessing disability services, Medicaid, Social Security benefits, ABLE accounts, MCPS transition services; postsecondary educational options, and residential opportunities.
2.Develop collaborations in the community to raise awareness and increase participation in our programs.
3.Increase public policy advocacy at the County and State levels to promote programs and policies that benefit people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
