Short Mission Statement To bring foreign affairs professionals together in support of diplomacy, the Foreign Service, and public understanding of diplomacy, and to preserve the historic DACOR Bacon House. Full Mission Statement DACOR is an organization of foreign affairs professionals. DACOR fosters service, learning and community among those who have dedicated their lifework to the foreign affairs of the United States through the Foreign Service and other international engagement. The DACOR Bacon House Foundation promotes a public understanding of international affairs and diplomacy through scholarships, lectures, publications, and conferences, and a museum, and preserves the historic DACOR Bacon House, an architectural treasure, as a living testament to America‘s diplomatic heritage and a center for educational and cultural activities.
