Mission

TO PROMOTE THE WELFARE OF BLINDED VETERANS SO THAT, NOT WITHSTANDING THEIR DISABILITIES, THEY MAY TAKE THEIR RIGHTFUL PLACE IN THE COMMUNITY. TO PRESERVE AND STRENGTHEN A SPIRIT OF FELLOWSHIP AMONG BLINDED VETERANS SO THAT THEY MAY GIVE MUTUAL AID AND ASSISTANCE REFER TO ONE ANOTHER. TO EDUCATE THE GENERAL PUBLIC SO THEY MAY UNDERSAND WHAT BLINDED VETERANS MAY ACCOMPLISH AND HOW TO ASSIST BLINDED VETERANS THEY MAY ENCOUNTER IN THEIR COMMUNITIES. PART III AND SCHEDULE O.

Goals

1.We have restructured and renamed a core program to be more inclusive of our entire membership assisting them with accomplishing and overcoming challenges through rehabilitation.
2.We have developed and deployed a new peer-inspired Ambassador program, allowing our members to more effectively and efficiently serve their fellow veterans throughout the country. We have also expanded our Team BVA Program emphasizing "peer-inspired self-reliance," moving beyond clinical support to holistic social and physical wellness through adaptive sports and whole-health rehabilitation.
3.We have invested in multiple technologies allowing our staff to more efficiently and effectively meet the growing needs of our service-delivery programs and serve more veterans and caregivers.
