Vision

At Meals on Wheels of Charlottesville/Albemarle, we envision a community where no one faces hunger, isolation, or fear of losing their independence. We strive to create a future where everyone, regardless of age or ability, can live with dignity, supported by a network of care and compassion. Through innovative services and a growing community of volunteers, we aim to ensure that all homebound and vulnerable neighbors receive the nourishment, connection, and community support they need to lead healthy, fulfilling lives in the comfort of their homes.

Goals

1. 1.Better Serve More Clients in Charlottesville and Albemarle County through assessing the needs in our area, expanding partnerships and adding services to meet those needs, and connecting with potential referral partners so they can connect us to more clients.
2. 2.Make our organization stronger so we can serve clients well now and into the future. By increasing our fundraising to support staff and program growth, diversifying and continuously educating staff and board members, and expanding our staff capacity, we can ensure better services are provided to our neighbors in need.
3. 3.Strengthen how we work to fully serve our community by clearly communicating who we serve and what services we provide. We will continue to grow our volunteer base, as well as increase our staff capacity so that we can deliver high-quality meals and wellness checks.
