Mission

Doorways creates pathways out of homelessness, domestic violence, and sexual assault leading to safe, stable, and empowered lives. Doorways is a community-based nonprofit which provides a full spectrum of support in response to intimate partner violence, ranging from prevention programming for youth, to emergency shelter, services, and supportive housing for survivors. Through a trauma-informed approach, Doorways meets each client where they are, addressing their unique needs with tailored support for their healing journey.

1.Doorways has experienced more than a 130% increase in the number of survivors sheltered in our safehousing. Expanding our safehousing solutions to meet the growing need is a top priority.
2.Expanding our prevention services is also a top priority. We aim to promote a community culture of safe and healthy relationships so that sexual and intimate partner violence are less likely to occur.
3.Goals supporting Doorways’ capacity to meet the growing need include strengthening our programs and services, fueling high performing teams, and improving operational resilience.
