Mission

The BoatUS Foundation for Boating Safety and Clean Water is an innovative leader promoting safe, clean and responsible boating. The Foundation provides educational outreach directly to boaters and supports partner organizations nationwide. With millions of boaters on the water, our aim is to reduce accidents and fatalities, increase stewardship of our waterways and keep boating a safe and enjoyable pastime. The BoatUS Foundation is a national 501©(3) nonprofit organization. Our work is primarily funded by grants and individual donations.

Goals

1.To launch a nationwide On Water Training locator where boaters can seek out boating safety instruction to reduce boating accidents and fatalities.
2.To grow the Life Jacket Loaner Program for kids and pilot entirely new features such as QR codes that lead to proper fitting of life jackets and other safety messages.
3.Launch an abandoned and derelict vessel (ADV) campaign to bring education, awareness and disposal to the forefront in reducing water pollution and navigational hazards,
