Mission

To protect the most important and vulnerable landscapes of the Shenandoah Valley and adjacent Allegheny Highlands, so working farms, forests, and waterways remain agriculturally, ecologically, and recreationally vibrant.

Vision

We envision the greater Shenandoah Valley region remaining defined by uninterrupted landscapes and spectacular open spaces that positively impact our food supply, our livelihoods, our heritage, our climate, and our world.

Goals

1.Create a Revolving Acquisition Fund to be able to respond quickly to acquire lands for preservation and remediation.
2.Increase our direct support for ecological restoration and management with staff persons who can help connect landowners with the complex web of resources and provide follow-up (fieldwork).
3.Seek to purchase and restore land that could be donated as public recreational land and secure access easements to keep this land (and waterways) accessible.
