Leadership Fairfax's mission is to develop, connect and inspire leaders of diverse backgrounds and experiences to engage in building a better community.

Our vision is a thriving and inclusive community inspired by courage and compassion.

Goals

1.The Inclusive Leadership Institute (ILI) is an 8-month program for leaders living or working in Fairfax County that seek to deepen their understanding of the historical foundations and the consequences of racism in systems and in the Fairfax County community. This program was started in Fall 2024, beginning with racial equity.
2.One of our strategic goals is to "evolve programs and service offerings". As well as adding our new Inclusive Leadership Institute, we have grown our Youth Leadership Network (YLN). In August 2024, we launched a database on our website of the Youth Councils in Fairfax County and their contacts. This allows decision makers to easily find youth groups that they may need input from.
3."Look Ahead" - we are committed to empower for ambassadorship, action and advocacy. We provide access to decision makers, educate participants on systems and themselves, and seek out issues where our leaders can assist in resolution. We work with nonprofits to engage volunteers and solve community problems using the skills they're learning to master.
