Mission

Council for Children’s Rights protects and advances the legal rights and development of children through individual representation, community education, and by addressing community-wide issues through systems advocacy, research, and policy work.

Vision

Council for Children’s Rights envisions a community that treats all children with fairness, compassion, and respect, and acts to ensure every child experiences equitable opportunity.

Goals

1.Our Research and Policy (RAP) team advocates for systemic changes by collects and utilizes data on the needs of the community at large to make well informed, evidence-based decisions.
2.Our Children's Defense team is increasing the quality of legal representation and the understanding of Juvenile Law and children’s rights for all children — even beyond the kids we represent.
3.We attend and facilitate trainings that address community needs and issues. Our Research and Policy team releases publications that move us toward improved policies for better outcomes for children.
