OUR MISSION To provide a welcoming and engaging environment that promotes hands-on art, science, and literacy-focused learning for all children and their caregivers.
Vision
OUR VALUES: 1. Promoting Family Learning We engage children and their caregivers in joyful learning experiences using the power of play. We provide a safe, clean, and inviting environment where all children find ample opportunity to explore. We offer interactive exhibits and weekly programs where kids can explore their natural curiosity. 2. Providing Value to Our Community We aspire to be a catalyst for neighborhood and community engagement. We seek and collaborate with other local institutions and organizations to create dynamic partnerships that leverage the positive impact of our museum. 2. Playing with Purpose We introduce children to an appreciation for our world. We support the development of essential foundational skills in children. We help create the spark that ignites a lifelong love of learning.
Goals
- 1.The Children’s Museum of Wilmington is committed to deepening the impact of our programs by enriching play-based learning experiences for every guest. Through enhanced educational content, staff development, and community partnerships, we aim to ensure that each visit inspires curiosity, connection, and lifelong learning for all children and families.
- 2.The Children’s Museum of Wilmington is investing in its greatest asset—our people. With new hires and expanded professional development for existing staff, we’re building capacity to deliver high-quality, inclusive, and engaging experiences that strengthen our impact and ensure every guest benefits from expert, inspired learning through play.
- 3.The Children’s Museum of Wilmington is dedicated to advancing our advocacy for children and families by amplifying the importance of play-based learning.
