Mission

Founded in 1875, Thornwell is a diverse non-profit ministry across Florida, Georgia, and South Carolina committed to the most innovative and effective solutions to heal, strengthen, and empower children and families. Thornwell’s vision is to see hopeful, healthy, and empowered children and families fulfilling their God-given potential. Thornwell’s services include foster and residential care, educational support, family services, and life skills training to meet children and families wherever they are in their journey to healing. Our values are faith-directed, service-oriented, and family-centered. Behind each program and service is a team of passionate, trauma-informed professionals dedicated to serving children and families. Mission: As a Christian ministry, our mission is to provide safe and nurturing environments where we educate, equip, and support children and families to thrive.
