    Mobile Meal Service of Spartanburg County Inc.

    Mission

    Mobile Meals glorifies God by providing nutritious meals, services and fellowship to the frail and homebound citizens in Spartanburg County. We began on October 3, 1977, serving 25 meals with 15 volunteers. Today we serve 2,200 residents, 305,000 meals, with approximately 150 volunteers each delivery day. Mobile Meals provides general, no sweet, specialty, and vegetarian meals, chopped or pureed meals if needed. We use 3 vans to deliver meals to 10 drop sites throughout Spartanburg County, delivering meals to more than 40 communities. Mobile Meals is much more than a meal. We provide nourishment for the mind, body and soul. Mobile Meals delivers love, compassion and hope to those in need. Our ministry includes meal delivery, a wellness check, referrals to other community services and lay pastor visits.
