Mission

Darkness to Light empowers adults to prevent, recognize, and react responsibly to child sexual abuse through awareness, education, and the reduction of stigma. We believe protecting children is an adult’s responsibility, and that education and training are key to empowering action.

Vision

Our work is guided by the vision of a world free from child sexual abuse, where children can grow up happy, healthy, and safe. We know that prevention is possible, and we believe that it is an adult’s responsibility to make choices that protect children, enabling them to live well-adjusted lives to their full potential.

Goals

1.Leadership & Organizational Capacity - Institutionalize confident and value-driven leadership of the Board and Staff to support the organization’s growth.
2.Training and Behavior Change - Scale up and improve ongoing training, and develop new behavior change programs, including research and communication strategies.
3.Funding and Sustainability - Grow and maintain a sustainable, nimble organization by diversifying funding mechanisms.
