Second Harvest Food Bank of East Tennessee

Mission

Established in 1982, Second Harvest Food Bank of East Tennessee works to alleviate hunger in our 18-county service area by providing food, services, and education to address the nutritional needs of all people experiencing food insecurity. Second Harvest serves 2,343,048 of our neighbors every year through their programs and network of Partner Agencies in East Tennessee. Agencies are nonprofit organizations dedicated to serving our neighbors, and include church pantries, shelters, group homes, local kitchens, after-school program sites, rehabilitation centers, and many others. Additional programs of Second Harvest include: Food for Kids (backpack) Program, Mobile Pantry, Empowerment Services, Senior Outreach, and Food Rescue.
