    Second Harvest Food Bank of East Tennessee

    Mission

    Established in 1982, Second Harvest Food Bank of East Tennessee works to alleviate hunger in our 18-county service area by providing food, services, and education to address the nutritional needs of all people experiencing food insecurity. Second Harvest serves 195,254 of our neighbors every month through a network of Partner Agencies in East Tennessee. Agencies are nonprofit organizations dedicated to serving our neighbors, and include church pantries, shelters, group homes, local kitchens, after-school program sites, rehabilitation centers, and many others. Additional programs of Second Harvest include: Food for Kids (backpack) Program, Mobile Pantry, Empowerment Services, Senior Outreach, and Food Rescue.
