MANNA FoodBank

Mission

MANNA FoodBank's mission is to involve, educate, and unite people in the work of ending hunger in Western North Carolina (WNC). Through collaborative partnerships with more than 300 food distribution partners, MANNA works to ensure consistent access to food in ways that are respectful, inclusive, and welcoming to all community members. MANNA’s Youth Programs provide nutritious food to children when free school meals are not available. The MANNA Food Helpline connects residents to local food resources and other essential services, and supports eligible callers with SNAP applications and benefit navigation. Across our 16-county service area, MANNA prioritizes access to nutritious food for communities experiencing the highest levels of need. MANNA is a nonpartisan organization that provides education and information to the public and policymakers to support informed decision-making related to food access and community stability.

Investing in these areas aims to increase our operational efficiency and effectiveness, ensuring we can better serve our community and advance our mission to end hunger. Together, we can build a more resilient and impactful organization.
3.MANNA is a nonpartisan organization that provides the public with information on food access and economic hardship. MANNA is recognized as a local resource on food insecurity based on its operational experience, use of data to inform services, and long-standing collaboration with community partners across Western North Carolina.
