Ronald McDonald House Coastal Empire (RMHCE) provides a home away from home for families with critically ill children receiving medical treatment in Savannah-area hospitals. We offer comfort, care, and community so families can stay close to the care their child needs.

A world where every family with a critically ill child has the comfort, care, and support they need to stay together and close to the medical care their child requires.

Goals

1.Expand Ronald McDonald House Coastal Empire’s capacity to serve families traveling for pediatric medical care by increasing lodging and support services. This includes developing a larger House to reduce waitlists and ensure more families can stay close to their hospitalized child during treatment.
2.Strengthen awareness and community understanding of the needs of families with critically ill children by sharing the impact of Ronald McDonald House Coastal Empire, engaging partners and volunteers, and advocating for family-centered care that keeps parents close to their child during medical treatment.
3.Strengthen partnerships with hospitals, community leaders, and supporters to advocate for the needs of families with critically ill children and expand awareness of the role Ronald McDonald House Coastal Empire plays in keeping families together during a child’s medical crisis.
