Alcovy CASA, Inc.
Mission
Alcovy CASA is dedicated to advocating for the best interests of children in the child welfare system experiencing foster care in Newton and Walton Counties. We believe that every child deserves a safe, nurturing, and permanent home. Our mission is to provide a powerful voice for these children by recruiting, training, and supporting caring volunteers who advocate for their needs and rights. We strive to ensure that each child's unique circumstances and experiences are heard and understood, empowering them to thrive in a loving and stable environment. Through our commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, we aim to create a compassionate and just child welfare system that respects and values the diverse backgrounds and identities of the children and families we serve. Together, we can make a positive and lasting impact on the lives of these vulnerable children.
Vision
Our vision is a community where every child has a safe and permanent home, where their best interests are protected, and their voices are heard. We strive to create a society where CASA volunteers empower and advocate for abused and neglected children, ensuring they receive the support, love, and opportunities they deserve, ultimately breaking the cycle of abuse and fostering a brighter future for every child.
Goals
- 1.Retain 90-95% of the current volunteers. Having current volunteers remain for a second case, provides a better, more well rounded experience for the child.
- 2.Recruit, screen, train, and swear-in 20 more CASA volunteers in 2024. 20 more CASA volunteers statistically will mean 35 more children will have 1:1 advocacy within the child welfare system.
- 3.Fundraising efforts will increase to assist with the rising costs. The goal is to have 3-6 months in savings in the event of a funding source being stable.
