Mission

Established by Sir Elton John in 1992, the Elton John AIDS Foundation (EJAF) is one of the world's leading organizations supporting innovative HIV prevention programs, efforts to eliminate stigma and discrimination associated with HIV/AIDS, and direct care and support services for people living with HIV/AIDS. Since its founding, EJAF has raised over $150 million to support urgently needed programs across the US and in 55 countries around the globe. Direct services include HIV/AIDS-related medical and mental health treatment, testing and counseling, food distribution, assisted living, social service coordination, and legal aid.

Vision

We believe AIDS can be beaten and we’re committed to making it happen. That means everyone at risk of HIV – no matter who they are or where they are – must get compassionate support and care that allows them to stay healthy and safe, and live with dignity.

Goals

1.We speak out against prejudice and stigma to change laws and policies and raise standards for equitable, non-judgmental testing, treatment and care.
2.AIDS is the second leading cause of death among young people worldwide. We build trusted support networks and find relevant ways to reach young people with relatable, accurate information and care.
3.We’ll tackle the criminalisation and discrimination that puts people who use drugs at higher risk of HIV.
